Engagement

Our Engagement Team facilitates the uptake of tools made by CABFISHMAN. They work to:

  • Foster conversations between decision makers, NGOs and the fishing industry, allowing for the exchange of knowledge and feedback and encouraging collaboration in the adoption of ecosystem-based management strategies.
  • Engage directly with Advisory Councils and Member State governments to ensure outputs are implemented in key areas of demand.
  • Provide an arena for the voices of small-scale fishers and other organisations to be heard by policy makers and scientific bodies.
  • Produce accessible, usable and scalable results that are instrumental to the sustainable development of the Atlantic area.

This approach allows all stakeholders to exchange views and amplify their voices in the decision-making arena. It focuses on practical outputs from our research by allowing the industry to adapt to new challenges with useful, up-to-date information.
